Scotland hit three goals past Wales in their 3-1 win at the Aviva Stadium, in Dublin. Earnshaw opened the score for Craig Levein’s side, while the Scottish side overcame them in the second half, scoring all the three goals within 15 minutes. Morrison leveled the score ten minutes into the last part, Miller brought the first lead after an hour, while Berra scored the third one six minutes later. The first one had the first chance of the night, but Morrison’s volley went standswards.

Wales’ first replky came in the 13th minute. Dorman picked Vokes with a lovely corner, but his header went just over the bar in what should have been an opener. Scotland broke back one minute later, but neither Nismith, nor Miller’s shot could beat keeper Myhill. Gary Speed’s side won a corner in the 25th minute Adam picked Whittaker with, but defender’s header went off the target. It was a very electrifying match which included plenty of occasions for both sides. The Welsh got another golden opportunity in the 28th minute. Eardley played Easter in good position but his shot reached the side netting to his own dismay.
Just a couple of minutes later, Scotland mocked a good chance through Miller who took too much time to shot the ball, something which allowed Blake come from behind and make the tackle. Miller got another one in the 32nd minute. Whittaker was found on the right, but his cross couldn’t be connected by the striker. Wales’ reply came as just, through Adam whose 30-yard powerful shot missed the target. The first goal came in the 35th minute. Crainey’s poor header allowed Earnshaw to put the ball in and over the keeper.
Things could have gone much worse for the Welsh, but Myhill managed to save a difficult shot from McCormack in the 38th minute. Adam tried his luck with another range shot, but the finish went just wide. So, the Welsh entered the locker-rooms with a minimal advantage, but the game was still open. as for the second half, it started with Scotland’s equalizer. Morrison was played in good position, his tremendous finish going past keeper Myhill for 1-1. Miller broke back seconds later, but the striker failed to convert his fourth big chance in. Scotland then made it 2-1 through Morrison who beat Myhill after a great action from McCormack.
Berra buried Wales alive just five minutes later. Whittaker finished his job on the right with a superb cross the defender headed home past Myhill. That was also the final result. The Welsh conceded their sixth straight loss against Scotland, recording their worst negative streak in the last three decades. Levein made six changes, introducing Gunter, Cotterill, Matthews, Ramsey, Vuaghan and Morrison for Taylor, Dorman, Eardley, Tudur-Jones, King and Vokes respectively. On the other side, Gary Speed made all his six changes with 15 minutes left. Thus, he replaced Morrison, McCormack, Whittaker, Crainey, Caldwell and Adam with Bannan, Robson, Bardsley, Martin, Hanley and McArthur respectively.
